After completing twelve years in the forest, the Pāṇḍavas now take up various disguises to pass the final thirteenth year incognito in the court of King Virāṭa. During this time, Draupadī has to endure an attempt at rape by Kīcaka, the army's commander; Bhīma kills him. As the year draws to its close, Virāṭa is attacked by Duryodhana and his men; Arjuna, still disguised as a eunuch, overcomes them single-handedly. The stipulated term of exile ends, and now Arjuna’s young son Abhimanyu marries Virāṭa’s daughter Uttarā.
