048. Ku Ban Moei - Khonkaen

Ku Ban Moei, Located at Ban Moei village, Moo 8, Nong song hong Sub District, Nong Song Hong District, Khon Kaen Province. It was built in the Khmer culture in the 11 century A.D. There's only the Base building remaining. It's going rectangle plan along the north and south sides. It's about 9*22 meters and staircase in the middle of the base in the east. Assuming those were three sanctuaries on one base. The sanctuary base was built by laterites, and for door frames, colonnette, lintel, antefixes, and some of the roof is made with sandstone. Also, have a big pond in front of the sanctuary. The most important evidence is the lintel carved Indra on Airavata. Its Pre Rub Baphuon style and two inlays at the door frame in Khmer character the specific year of 1045 A.D. And 1053 A.D. It was officially proclaimed as an Ancient Monument by the King in the Royal Gazette Vol 118 special Issue No.29 (March 26th, 2001 A.D.)01.
