I have traveled to Angkor Wat four times: 31 March 2009, 13-16 October 2017, 20-23 October 2018, and 8-10 June 2019. (Total travel as well as visiting other important castles at the Sub-page of this blog "Ancient Angkor"), which are impressive throughout the four periods. I will continue to study and travel from the same places until I die. And it probably corresponds to the immortal sentence of Arnold Joseph Toynbee, the British historian "See Angkor Wat and die". - Seeing Angkor Wat as if seeing the most valuable thing in life, die, and slept with his eyes shut. "Please pay attention to the Vishnulok before its death" and "The construction of sanctuary is the ultimate human ambition to show devotion to God", Silp Bhirasri said.

In a chronicle written in 1585 (during the era of King Nares of Siam ), the Portuguese traveler Diogo Do Couto described Angkor Wat:  "At half a league from the city [Angkor Thom] is a temple called Angar...this temple is such a particular construction that one can hardly describe it with the pen, nor can one compare it to any other building in the world". A few centuries later his description still holds true.

Angkor Wat is a religious place located in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia (Thai people from the Ayudhya period called "Muang Phra Nakhon") began building in the reign of King Suryavarman II during the 12th century as a religious place of his city. The temple itself has been well preserved. It is the only important religious center that has survived to the present since its construction was completed.

Angkor Wat was originally a Hindu temple. Which was built to pay homage to Lord Vishnu (Vaishnabha Nikaya). There are six castle ruins in the inner clay layer - information from Local Guide-Travelling named "Sang". - Cambodia's official guide when visiting Angkor Wat (Maung Phra Nakhon - Thai pronounced) on 8-9-10 June 2019.
