I decided to travel to Cambodia alone, backpacking in Siem Reap again during October 20-23, 2018, for 4 days and 3 nights. I departed with Air Asia on Saturday morning, October 20, from Don Mueang Airport to Siem Reap Airport, 10:10-11:10 a.m., for one hour (the time in Cambodia and Thailand is the same, no need to adjust the time). The return flight on Tuesday evening, October 23, from Siem Reap Airport to Don Mueang Airport, 3:20-4:25 p.m. was a budget trip. It was convenient to book tickets online. The round-trip fare, including luggage not exceeding 20 kilograms, was 8,298 baht (even though I booked 40 days in advance). I also booked accommodation online. I stayed for 3 nights at the Naga Angkor Hotel in the center of Siem Reap. It was a double room with air conditioning, breakfast and WIFI for 3 nights, totaling US$36.72 (paid at the counter. I was still worried that the agreed price would be around 1,200-1,300 baht). It was booked through Agoda Customer Service.

I have a travel plan to visit Angkor Wat and Siem Reap as follows:

I left my house and took a taxi to Don Mueang Airport to catch my flight. I arrived at 8am. There were a lot of people, both Thai and foreign tourists, most of whom were Chinese. I exchanged baht to US dollars, checked in at the airport, had breakfast at McDonald's, and sat at Gate 4 to wait for my flight, which took off around 10:10am.

Arrived in Siem Reap around 11:10 am. The plane was almost full of passengers. There was a little bit of turbulence. After passing through immigration, we picked up our bags at the conveyor belt. We looked for a way into Siem Reap (there were airport staff who organized and arranged for us. There were taxis, roumogs, and motorbikes. I chose the roumog). The motorbike with attached seats, called a roumog (from now on I will call it a "tuk tuk"), took us to our hotel in the old market area of Siem Reap. The fare was US$9.--. The driver's name was Pon Louk (I checked him out, it should be the same as the Thai word "Poonlarp"). We had a good conversation and from then on, Ponlarp would be my driver who would take me around Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom throughout this trip.
