       Thanks to the weapon released by Aśvatthāman, Uttarā, the widow of Abhimanyu, gives birth to a stillborn child, Parikṣit, but Kṛṣṇa revives him and thus restores the Kuru lineage. Yudhiṣṭhira performs the great royal horse sacrifice.
